In their first—and more than likely—only vice-presidential debate, JD Vance and Tim Walz discussed important topics and policies that greatly affect our nation, and they did it mostly in a surprisingly calm and civil manner.

The candidates discussed various topics, including the economy and solutions to the ongoing wars. As expected though, the left leaning network who moderated the debate chose to spend a lot of the debate time on topics that benefited the left leaning candidate—Walz. For example, way too much time was spent on what Trump did wrongly 4 years ago before leaving office. They also spent a lot of the debate time on abortion and “protecting women’s rights” which gave Walz a big opportunity to win over more female voters.

The biased moderators and fixed debate topics weren’t successful though. Vance cleverly outclassed the moderators while at the same time he easily dismantled any arguments Walz tried to make. It was an excellent debate performance by Vance, a masterclass. In the end, he did what he hoped to do, he won the debate and brought more undecided voters to Donald J. Trump.
