Trump’s Justice department recently indicted the Southern Poverty Law Center on federal charges. The indictment alleges wire fraud, bank fraud, and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

The SPLC has stated it will “vigorously defend” its work, maintaining that it was using an informant program that’s crucial for tracking extremist groups.

“The government is blatantly mischaracterizing our efforts to successfully fight hatred and violent extremism, something we have done for decades,” interim president and CEO of SPLC said in a statement.

Other groups, including the ACLU and NAACP, came out to defend the SPLC, arguing that the prosecution is a “campaign of intimidation” and a “weaponization” of Trump’s DOJ.

These groups, along with SPLC, appear as non-partisan organizations claiming to stand for civil rights for all, but it’s clear to many they’re nothing more than hard-left political advocacy groups. They’re all funded by the same well-known progressive billionaires. They only target conservative groups and totally ignore leftist groups. A simple search confirms they’re operating in a totally partisan manner and committed to the left party.
