Two days ago, Joe Biden spoke at the Democrat National Convention in Chicago. He spoke for almost an hour. He seemed to speak with a lot of enthusiasm but unfortunately his enthusiasm was used to tell many lies.

During his speech he insinuated that he’s been “protecting” and “defending” the constitution, and that under his presidency democracy has “prevailed.” He also stated that in America there’s “no place for political violence.” Biden then went on to say that the reason he originally ran for president was because of the white racism and hate he saw being pushed by Trump and many of his supporters. Biden said he decided to run because he wanted an America where “dignity and decency still matter.” Biden then went on to say that he stands against hate in “all its forms,” and that we shouldn’t label anyone. He then spoke about the new jobs he’s created and how he’s brought inflation “way down.”

Biden told these lies and many more throughout the remainder of his speech. His loyal followers may have thought his speech was full of facts, but everyone who’s been paying attention during his presidency knows that he didn’t do many of the things mentioned in his speech, in fact he did mostly the opposite. On many occasions throughout his presidency, Biden stoked the flames of racism and division by insinuated Trump and his supporters were on the level of Klansman and white supremacists. Biden didn’t let democracy “prevail” when he signed record numbers of Executive Orders that harmed Americans in his first two weeks of office. He didn’t defend the constitution when he fought against states like Texas when they tried to protect our nation’s southern border from illegal border crossings. Biden told another lie when he stated that he’s brought inflation way down—in reality the overall prices are up nearly 20%!

In his Democratic National Convention speech, Biden did what he did for most of his presidency—he told many lies and tried to divide the country.
