“Is that the law and order that you voted for? If you voted for this? Every day is a nightmare now,” Kimmel said during his opening on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

On The Late Show With Stephen Colbert the late-night host criticized the Department of Homeland Security for insisting the incident was a defensive action against an armed threat.

“They want you to believe that something didn’t happen when we all saw it happen with our own eyes.” Colbert said.

“The Trump administration wants fear. And Minnesotans are responding with community,” the host concluded, the host added.

The opening monologues of Kimmel and Colbert were deeply felt by their audiences, but many people see it as selective outrage and a double standard.

Where was there outrage for the victims who have been harmed by illegals? Where is there outrage for people who are forced to live in sanctuary cities? People are being forced to compete with illegal immigrants for jobs. They’re being forced to live in communities with higher safety risks.  Individuals with prior criminal records, and some are felons, are being released by local agencies instead of being transferred to ICE.
