Recently another woke rock star put their disdain for Trump on public display. The former White Stripes frontman Jack White is one of the latest rock stars in a slew of popular woke rockers to come out on social media to blast the president.
White posted a lengthy statement on his Instagram in response to the White House communications director calling him a “washed-up, has-been loser.” The director was responding to White, who started the tit-for-tat with an Instagram post Monday blasting the Oval Office décor.
“Look at how disgusting trump has transformed the historic White House,” White wrote on Instagram Tuesday. “It’s now a vulgar, gold leafed and gaudy, professional wrestler’s dressing room. Can’t wait for the UFC match on the front lawn too, he’s almost fully achieved the movie ‘Idiocracy’.”
In another post the former frontman had more strong words for the Trump administration.
“He’s masquerading…as a leader, as a person with actual empathy. He’s been masquerading as a businessman for decades as nothing he’s involved in has prospered except by using other people’s money to find loophole after loophole and grift after grift.”
Most woke rock stars with Trump Derangement Syndrome are out of touch with reality. They’re also out of touch with rock music. Real rock music has traditionally been about fighting the establishment, fighting the machine. When you stand against Trump, you’re standing with the establishment, not against it. That’s not what real rock ‘n roll is about!
