One year into President Donald Trump’s second term in office, left-leaning politicians and their supporters are still pushing the same narrative when it comes to Trump—he’s creating chaos and division.
Recently, top Illinois officials held a press conference to discuss their continued stance against Trump’s “aggressive and unconstitutional” immigration policies.
“Today marks 365 days of chaos, 365 days of attacks upon civil rights, on the rule of law and on the Constitution itself,” Illinois Attorney General said at a Tuesday news conference in Chicago.
Many on the left are quick to push this narrative, they push the idea that Trump is enacting immigration policies that are tearing families and neighborhoods apart. They say he’s disrupting communities and creating a culture of fear. In realty, Trump is simply protecting American citizens from the disastrous effects of unlawful mass migration.
Trump also knows the left are using undocumented immigrants to gain a political advantage. For example, the left can count undocumented immigrants in the US census to give them an unfair advantage in the House of Representatives and presidential elections.
